A BEAUTIFUL PALETTE

MOST OF THE TIME I'M SETTING UP MY EASEL AND PUTTING MY PAINTS OUT TO START MY DAY OF PAINTING WITHOUT REALLY PAYING ATTENTION TO THE PROCESS. I KNOW OUT OF THE GATE, THE MINUTE I SQUEEZE THE PAINT TUBES I'M COMMITTED TO HOURS OF FOCUSED CREATIVITY. MOSTLY BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO WASTE MY PAINT. I PAINT AS I LISTEN TO MY FAVORITE ITUNES PLAYLISTS, (WHICH INCLUDES MOTOWN FAVORITES) BUILDING BRUSH STROKE UPON BRUSH STROKE. I'M DRIVEN BY AN INNER VISION OF A PAINTING THAT ONLY EXISTS IN MY MIND, IN MY HEART. I LOOSE HOURS TRANSFIXED ON COLOR AND TEXTURE TRYING TO CREATE A RECOGNIZABLE BEAUTY. I'M USUALLY WORKING ON A COMISSIONED PAINTING WITH A CLIENTS VISION IN MIND AS WELL. IT'S AMAZING TO ME TO BRING MY BRUSH UP TO A CANVAS FOR A FINAL SWIPE WITH A KNOWING THAT I'M DONE. I STEP BACK TO TAKE A FINAL LOOK SAYING TO MYSELF, "DON'T OVER WORK IT, YOUR DONE." IT'S NOT UNTIL I FINALLY CLEAN UP, WHICH CAN BE DAYS LATER! I REALIZE MY RANDOM PALETTE IS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL TO ME AS MY FINISHED PAINTING! FIND THE BEAUTY IN THE PROCESS.
